ABOUT ME

Writer | Director | Producer

My vibe:
I’m a writer and director with a performance-first approach to storytelling that spans genres – always with a comedic bent – to explore themes that have global resonance.

How’d I get here?
My foray into directing began in 2016 after receiving production funding from The Mercury (formerly MRC) for the comedy web series, Freemales. The following year, I received the Independent Spirit Award at the South Australian Screen Awards in recognition of the series’ success. This was closely followed by a Fellowship from the Helpmann Academy which allowed me to undertake a tailored career development program in London which included studying at The Met Film School and observing Jessica Hobbs on the BBC series, The Split.

Upon my return to Australia, I received further project funding from Carclew, Create NSW, and The Helpmann Academy to write and direct a slate of projects, many of which have screened at festivals around the world and now have a home on YouTube channels; Omeleto and Dusk.

Current projects:

My latest short film the Adelaide Film Festival-funded dark comedy, Mating Call, is commencing its festival run and is available upon request. Currently, I am developing a slate of long-form projects which you can see here.

Between working on my passion project and honing my craft as a director, I work as a freelance Script Supervisor. You can check out my Script Supervisor experience here.
